Day 15 Picaraña to Santiago de Compostela 16.5km’s

The final day of walking on our amazing Camino. We were up early and ready to go by 7:30am. Our accommodation at Pensión Residencia Pividal was all a Pilgrim needs for the final night before entering Santiago de Compostela.

By 10am it started getting rather hot on the trail and sadly the last 10km’s are urban sprawl. It’s not the first time I’ve walked this section of the Camino and knew what to expect.

It’s Rob’s third Camino and my 8th. I did not have the emotions arriving in Santiago that a first time Pilgrim has however it’s always good seeing the beautiful Cathedral.

The Camino Portuguese from Porto is a great route if you only have two weeks available to walk. The Central and Coastal options are available with the Variante Espiritual to add something special to the Camino experience.

Leaving Picaraña, the last day.
