Day 0 Arrival in Porto

The trip to Porto was most certainly a different one. It’s the first time we’ve flown with TAAG airlines. I would not say it’s the best airline by a long shot. The airport in Luanda (Angola) requires a serious upgrade. The ticket price cannot be beat and they were on time.

We arrived in a somewhat wintery Porto, sadly raining. At least it’s not our first visit so we don’t feel cheated.

We boarded the Metro and landed up in town somewhere. Then checked Maps.me and realised we were 3.2km’s from our accommodation. So all we did was ask a policeman where we could find a taxi and just like that 300 metres up the road we found said taxi.

Pastel de Nata was required immediately.

Roam around Porto and you’ll find the beauty of this magical city.

  1. Just finished reading your 2013 Camino trip. Enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to reading this one now. We go on our Camino (St. James Way) next June 2020. Hoping to not have as much rain as you did! Thank you for sharing your stories.
